Starbucks Workers United Webinar

Student Member, Kylah Clay and her fellow baristas will be holding a webinar to discuss the Starbucks Workers United movement and what the experience has been like for organizers in Massachusetts. The event will be today, Wednesday, March 30th at 6pm via Zoom.

During the event, speakers from several different unionizing Starbucks locations will talk about what led them to unionize, what the petitioning process was like, what stage they are in their efforts, and what challenges they’ve faced in light of corporate’s aggressive union-busting campaign. We will also be joined by Senator Sonia Chang-Díaz, who will speak on her support for the movement and Professor Brendan Sharkey from New England School of Law who will discuss how this current effort fits into labor history and what it means for the future of the labor movement.
