NLG-Mass Chapter Annual Dinner 2019!

On Friday, May 17th, the NLG-Mass Chapter came together to honor long-time member, Lynn Weissberg, and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Chapter.  Before the ceremony was officially underway, the dining hall was bustling with the sounds of music from the ‘60s and ‘70s (the time when the Chapter was re-created), conversations and the energy of our members. The evening was ably hosted by Margaret Burnham and Monica Shah, who both introduced and guided the proceedings with words of determination, inspiration and hope for the future as well as memories of our Chapter’s past. From the impassioned words of our speakers, the keen cinematography featured in the Documentary trailer, and the feel-good competition of the Auction, the evening went swimmingly.  Of course, the high points of the evening were when Lynn Weissberg took the stage and regaled us with a story of her journey in advocacy and her dedication to the pursuit of justice and when 27 of the Mass Chapter’s Founding Members stood together on stage and shared memories of their time with the Guild. Needless to say, it was a spectacular evening.
