On January 21, the Chapter held its Annual Meeting at which we conducted elections of the new Board of Directors and Chapter Officers and heard from representatives of our committees on the work they do – Jon Cubetus reported on the Litigation Committee, Josh Raisler Cohn – on the Mass Defense Committee, Urszula Masny-Latos – on the Legal Observer program, Roger Geller – on TIM (Together for an Inclusive Massachusetts), and Kylah Clay – on ION (Independent Organizing Network).
Six Board members were re-elected and two new members were elected to serve a 2-year term which will end in January 2028. We would like to welcome Jeremy DaCruz and Bonnie Tenneriello to join the Board this year.

Jeremy DaCruz (above) is a union organizer, business agent, and labor and employment attorney. Towards the end of his time in law school, he was drawn to Guild as a place of community with like minded radical lawyers. As a Guild board member, he hopes to help law students, attorneys, and legal workers find community and mutual support.

Bonnie Tenneriello (above) is a Senior Attorney with Prisoners’ Legal Services of Massachusetts, where she litigates and advocates for the rights of incarcerated people. She looked to Guild lawyers for inspiration while in law school decades ago, and still finds inspiration in the Guild’s dedication to supporting movements for equality, care and justice.
Chelsea Contrada was elected to serve as Co-Chair of the Chapter and will join Eden Williams who will continue Co-Chairing until January 2027; Jeff Feuer was elected to serve as Treasure, and Kylah Clay as Clerk. All Officers terms will end in January 2027.
We would like to thank Andrew Fischer, who after one term on the Board decided not to run to be re-elected, for his contributions to the Board and the Guild.

This year at the meeting, we had a special presenter, Suzanne Adely, to lead us in a conversation about Venezuela and the international crisis created by the U.S. with its recent attacks on Venezuela and kidnapping of the country’s President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. Suzanne is a former and interim current President of the NLG, a member of the NLG International Committee and of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers.
