Chelsea Contrada reports:  I was honored to attend the NLG Annual Testimonial Dinner this year.  It was my second time attending and volunteering at this event and, as expected, it did not disappoint.  Everything this year was as great as it was last year. Chico Fuego & the Gringos rocked the house; the honorees’ speeches where inspiriting and moving; Trivia was educational and entertaining; the food, provided by Taste de Tropiks, was delightful; and the best part was connecting with my NLG family.
My favorite part of the event was the beautiful tribute to our dear friend and long-time NLG member Bob Hernandez who passed recently.  I did not know Bob personally, but I loved hearing stories told by those who knew and loved him.  He was an important part of the Guild’s work and history and he had a lasting impact on all who knew him.  Chica Fuego’s musical tribute to Bob was quite moving as well.  

Once again my drive from Western Mass was entirely worth it. Thank you all for a wonderful evening – can’t wait for next year!
