NLG-Mass’ Abortion Justice Task Force (AJTF) will start facilitating trainings for groups and communities across Massachusetts in January 2023. The AJTF is currently researching the most pressing legal questions for those seeking an abortion, helping with accessing an abortion, and performing abortions in Massachusetts. Additionally, AJTF is researching the added legal concerns for more vulnerable populations, such as college students and noncitizens. The initial research will be completed at the end of October, and then AJTF will begin incorporating the research into the training materials. We welcome anyone who is interested in getting involved with AJTF. We have several ways people can help – continued research to keep the training up to date, development of the training materials, recruitment of groups and communities for the trainings, and facilitating the trainings. Please reach out if you would like to get involved and/or know of a group or community that may be interested in receiving the training.
