Highlights from Boston University’s NLG Chapter in 2024

  • In March 2024, we hosted Chicago-based activist Johannes Favi to show his film, “Caged Dreams,” and discuss abolition and the immigration system. There were more than 70 people in the audience. Photos attached.
  • In Fall 2024, we began a food pantry for law students who struggle accessing food and resources.
  • In Fall 2024, we hosted Disorientation for 1L and 2L students and had many attendees— over 50- including law professors.
  • We supported the BU Grad Students’ Union as they fought for better wages and necessary resources.
  • We are currently working on a proposal for BU to have Narcan nasal spray available across campus to mitigate potential opioid overdoses.
  • We’re planning to send about 15 BU Law students to Yale Law School’s Rebellious Lawyering Conference in New Haven in February 2025.
