City Life/Vida Urbana Sit-in at Mayor Walsh’s office

On Thursday, March 5, 2020, Patricia Cantor, Jeff Feuer, and Lee Goldstein served as NLG Legal Observers as 40-50 members and supporters of City Life/Vida Urbana staged a sit-in in Boston Mayor Walsh’s office to demand a meeting with him to discuss the totally inadequate amount of affordable housing to be developed and built at Suffolk Downs over the next 20 years as part of the 10,000 housing units to be built there.

The sit-in was noisy, but peaceful and there were no arrests. The Mayor’s office said they would schedule a meeting with the affordable housing advocates in the near future.
